Because of this: ATLANTA -- Eric Rudolph pleaded guilty Wednesday to carrying out the deadly bombing at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and three other attacks.
Every television station, every newspaper, every pundit, all gov agencies involved, every radio news station... Every damned one of them ought to publish a huge apology to Security Guard Richard Jewell, working at the Atlanta Olympics, trying to just do his job, for chiming in to accuse him of being the bomber and thereby ruining that innocent man's life. But has any one of them even so much as acknowledged their error? No.
And pay attention...the murderer Rudolph is yet another religious fanatic...another one of the right's Fundies. Pay attention: RELIGIOUS FANATICS ARE DANGEROUS!!! And the prez, plus many members of the GOP are in their pockets. Rudolph has just done a plea bargin that will give him four life terms in prison instead of the death penalty. So easy to murder someone else...but he's scared to die. One-sided? One more nut case. And who else will become a fanatic through contact with him in prison and then be released?
That's the way it works, you know if you've been paying attention. Go to prison, find Jesus, get out and, like the righteous bastards they are, go to work contaminating others. There is a major cancer in our midst.
