From: http://news.independent.co.uk :
"Among treasures already discovered by a team from Oxford University are previously unseen writings by classical giants including Sophocles, Euripides and Hesiod. Invisible under ordinary light, the faded ink comes clearly into view when placed under infra-red light, using techniques developed from satellite imaging.
The Oxford documents form part of the great papyrus hoard salvaged from an ancient rubbish dump in the Graeco-Egyptian town of Oxyrhynchus more than a century ago. The thousands of remaining documents, which will be analysed over the next decade, are expected to include works by Ovid and Aeschylus, plus a series of Christian gospels which have been lost for up to 2,000 years. "
!!! "...for up to 2000 years"?!!! "...a series of Christian gospels..." I do believe the Fundies aren't gonna like this one bit. As for the rest of the religions, don't think they'll like this much either. In fact, there will be, without doubt, one battle royal. If these are gospels, will they change the text of the Bible? They don't want the blasted text changed. All their religions are based on what's there now...not the parts missing for 2000 years.
I'll look forward to hearing just what those long-missing gospels have to say, I kid you not. Makes me laugh.
Wrap...

I would love to see that too. They'll probably be hidden away, but it would be fascinating.
They'd better not be hidden away! I find it a bit odd that I had to learn about it in the first place through a British newspaper. Not a word here. No matter. I intend to keep watch...though it's gonna be awhile. Can't imagine the shape they must be in after such a long time. Talk about handling something with kid gloves!
