Reid suggests Gregg as SCOTUS nominee...
The spokesperson for U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) confirmed to PoliticsNH.com that Reid will call the White House to suggest Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH) be nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court to replace outgoing Justice Sandra Day O'Conner.
The comments came this afternoon as Senate Democrats emerged from their weekly caucus meeting.
Reid suggested Gregg while explaining his argument that President Bush should work with the Senate to find suitable nominees.
At an event weeks earlier, Reid suggested the names of other Republican nominees, but at today's press conference only named Gregg.
