Politics in San Diego...

For those interested in what's happening in San Diego politically, http://sandiegopol.com has been created. Here's a bit from their intro:

Welcome
Hi. We're new. We're getting up to speed quickly, and we hope you make this a frequent stop.

SanDiegoPol.com is a place of information and discussion for people in the greater San Diego area who would much favor open, transparent, honest government. You know - a government of honest citizens, elected in a clean and trustworthy fashion by other honest citizens, without, say, the influence of large sums of money paid for by businesses, unions, and the wealthy. It is only by ridding ourselves of "ballots bought by the big bucks" can we have a hope of true representative democracy.

Oh - you disagree? Well, register and log your opinion on the blog.
Who knows - information and discussion might lead to action. Democrats, Greens and other third party folks, independents - Republicans are welcome too, although if you consider yourself a progressive AND a Republican, well - we feel your pain!

Leadership in the city of San Diego flounders. Randy Cunningham and Duncan Hunter legislate "the Triple Fence", an environmental abomination. The Mayor - here today, gone July 15. Shall we "reelect" Donna Frye? A new airport? Federal investigations. America's Finest City? Corruption. A new library? Why don't we "count every vote"? Freeway blogging! Clean elections? Can San Diego dig itself out of this financial mess?

As stated, the above is an excerpt from the intro.
Wrap....
