BushCo: men of leisure, brutality, & stupidity...

From Information Clearing House:

"The first step in a fascist movement is the combination under an energetic leader of a number of men who possess more than the average share of leisure, brutality, and stupidity. The next step is to fascinate fools and muzzle the intelligent, by emotional excitement on the one hand and terrorism on the other." (Bertrand Russell: Freedom, Harcourt Brace, 1940)

-----------

And do we not have exactly that combination of individuals running our nation right now? The very rich: ie, leisure aplenty...brutality: ie, the lust for torture among all of them...stupidity: ie, the conduct..the very existance of the war upon Iraq... illustrates how incredibly stupid the PNAC brigade is in its lust for power and riches.

I would add cowardice. The cowardice of the press for so long in not reporting the actual actions of BushCo, the cowardice of those who knew for not being honest with the American public about the twisting of intelligence to meet the neocons' ugly goals. Back to the brutality with which BushCo attacks anyone who dares to question their decisions. The brutality which entails compassion only for the very rich but not for citizens who are not very rich. The brutality with which they expend our soldiers' lives for reasons which never were honestly presented. The never-ending lies, deceptions, propaganda...and then the blatant attempt to erase the separation of church and state, to gather all powers to the executive branch of the government, to break the nation financially through an incredible excess of spend and borrow until other nations, in essence, own us to the point where we daren't alienate them, and at the same time to enrich beyond imagination the corporations who serve their never-ending greed for money and power.

Whoever said that words can never hurt us was dead wrong. Especially with the Rendons of this world doing their utmost to assist BushCo to illegally attack Iraq...for money of course. Greed, pure and simple.

By this time, if the Republicans in Congress would have had the guts to do the job, Bush should have been impeached and the entirety of BushCo should be behind bars awaiting trial in the Hague for war crimes. Cowardice prevails, and I am sickened....and enraged.

Wrap...
