From WayneMadsenReport.com :
June 1, 2006 -- Gen. Michael Hayden's presidential swearing-in ceremony at CIA headquarters yesterday displayed a marked difference from past, similar ceremonies. Rejecting tradition, retired senior CIA officials were denied admission to the ceremony. CIA sources also report that one of Hayden's first targets at the CIA will be the agency's Publications Review Board (PRB). Hayden has been directed by the White House to eliminate much of the board's mandate with a goal being the prohibition of former CIA officers writing any books or articles.
NOTE: The problem is that TJ's book, Class 11 (about the very first new CIA class after 9/11) has already been cleared by the CIA's people once...then, thanks to BushCo, secrecy intensified, so after TJ had made the changes they'd asked for and sent it back to be okayed, they've kept it and won't let it go...Now we see why. I am not happy, having pre-ordered that book months ago. Not TJ's fault. He's trying to pry it loose, but given Bush/Cheney orders to Hayden, he probably won't succeed. This is not right. Former CIA people have just as many rights as anyone else so long as the exercise of same doesn't violate the oaths they took when they joined. And TJ's book does not. Who do these people think they are to deny the 1st Amendment like this? Just the usual unconstitutional behavior we've come to expect from ANYONE in the BushCo fascist regime.
Wrap....
