Hiss...Spit....

Just read this on the Ohio 02 blog:

"One of the hardest things about covering this special election has been your humble editor subjecting himself to the daily rants of WLW arch wingnut shock jock Bill Cunningham. Today he was in top form. Cunningham called Hackett a baby killer for being pro choice. His favorite point of the day was comparing Hackett to such other famous marines as Lee Harvey Oswald and Timothy McVeigh. Class act."

And had this sudden thought: As long as Bush is president we will be subjected to hearing and reading that kind of viscious attack.

And unless he's impeached, he WILL be president until January, 2009. Just think of that.

Consider the damage he and his administration have managed to do since 2001 to the nation and the world. What in heaven's name will he manage to do between now and 2009? I dread to think. Especially since he has been able to do about anything and get away with it, no matter how outrageous.

Some say that the problem is that Republicans, in Congress and out, have given their loyalty to the party. I wonder. It seems to me that their loyalty is to Bush, that they admire and believe in him and that goes beyond party. That's personal. And it's unpatriotic.

It's wrong. Everyone's loyalty should be to the nation. Partys are supposed to stand for what people believe is what's best for the nation.

Bottom line is that we need as many Hacketts as we can get elected.
Wrap...
