Mehlman Lies About Downing Street Memo

Ken Mehlman, Chairman of the Republican Party, lied through his teeth yesterday on NBC's "Meet the Press," falsely claiming the Downing Street Memo had been "discredited." The truth is that neither the American nor British government has challenged the memo's authenticity.
The fact that Tim Russert (of all people) actually brought up the memo, ignored Mehlman's evasions and lies, and pressed the issues connected to it is a good sign that the Establishment Media is feeling pressure to cover the DSM. As for Mehlman, his utter disregard for the truth is exactly what you'd expect from the GOP's chair; honesty and the Republican Party go together like fishes and bicycles.
